"Wikipedia, Snopes, and the Rolling Stones FAQ: When the Stones decided to leave Decca Records and start their own label (Rolling Stones Records) in 1970, Decca informed them that their contract obligated them to deliver one more single. The Stones dutifully complied by handing over the unreleasable "Schoolboy Blues," also known as "Cocksucker Blues." (Strangely enough, the song was eventually released by Decca in Germany, as a bonus single included with the 1984 reissue of the four-LP boxed set The Rest of the Best. The set was quickly pulled and re-released without the single)."
This bonus record never came with a sleeve!
Plain cover, plain record label, withdrawn in weeks after the box was put in the shops.
The only officially (!) released record of "Cocksucker Blues" for sure.

"This box contains 4 albums with fifty different recordings from 1963 to 1970.
These four discs of this carefully edited box-set you'll find all those recordings of The Rolling Stones that did not appear
on the 12 DECCA albums which were originally issued in Germany, singles (A and B-sides) and rarity items.
Note: This box also delivers as "Tell Me" Version 2, (Tell me) How Many More Times,
This was widely available in Camden Market in the 80´s !
I think the bootleggers did "new wave" records at that time (and had the Roy Carr´s Illustrated Book, too!) |
