Willie & The Poor Boys
Willie & The Poor Boys
Directed by: Eddie Arno/ Mark Innocenti
Running Time: 30 min Color Date: 1985
Bill Wyman got a bunch of his friends to play this '50 rockabilly songs by Carl Perkins, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly, Elvis, Gene Vincent and more. Originally put out on VHS, this is a half-hour show, complete with '50s-dressed young people jitterbugging while the group played on. It included fellow Stones members Ronnie (playing saxophone) and Charlie Watts on drums. On March 11th and 12th 1985, the core members of the band and additional star guests, turned up at the Fulham Town Hall, London to make this film. In between several of the songs are a few very short comedy bits including one with Ringo Starr, plays a janitor sweeping up after the concert. Released on DVD in 2004, with bonus footage
