TIME-Life´s rock-documentary The History of Rock and Roll, first broadcasted on television, in series, which was first presented in 1995, consumes some 578 minutes, with 10 episodes. Executive producers include Quincy Jones, while respected writers Peter Guralnick and Greil Marcus are listed as consultants. Beginning in the pre-rock days of Muddy Waters and Louis Jordan and continuing through the death of Kurt Cobain and the birth of the Lollapalooza festival in the mid-1990s




Episode One: Rock 'n' Roll Explodes features old footage of the Rolling Stones´ I Just Want to Make Love to You
Episode Three: Britain Invades, America Fights Back features Around and AroundSatisfaction and Paint It Black;
Episode Six: My Generation includes Street Fighting Man;
Episode Seven: Guitar Heroes features The Last Time.

Also in these episodes interviews with most of the Stones members some new, some from archive footage.
Originally released in VHS tape and recently in DVD.
