Umano Non Umano

Umano No Umano (aka. Human Not Human)
Directed by: Mario Schifano

Producer: Anita Pallenberg/ Ettore Rosboch
Running Time: 95 min   Color   Date: 1969

An experimental art film by artist Mario Schifano, co-produced by Anita Pallenberg, and appearances of Jagger and Richards.
Their part was shot in Rome, April 1969; Mick doing a lip-sync of "Street Fighting Man" and Keith playing on a moog synthesizer

Mario Schifano, an Italian Pop Art painter/collagist considered to be one of most significant and pre-eminent artists of Italian postmodernism, who exhibited alongside Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, released this experimental 35-mm film Umano Non Umano (Human, Not Human) in 1971. A freewheelin, open-ended reverie that documents visits with artists and poets, performances, demonstrations, walks in the street, and is notable for the inclusion of odd scenes with Jagger, Richards, Anita Pallenberg (once Schifano’s girlfriend), Carmello Bene, the poet Sandro Penna and novelist Alberto Moravia among others. Schifano had a relationship with Marianne Faithfull in 1969.
